We think this is the nicest beach on the island. It’s very long and wide and clean, especially the middle to northern part. Nice restaurants and hotels as well as guest houses front it, but not too many. It’s never crowded.
As the name implies, this 3km stretch of beach is a walkers delight. We were here in low season, so we did not see any lifeguards on duty, but in the same breath, we only saw four other people in the water.

We got everywhere we wanted to. We are going in May this year too and are just going to book as we go rather than in advance. This was you can check boats are running and get some great last minute deals on hotels(which are already mega cheap anyway at this time!).
