Panchmukhi Hanumanji temple has an about 10 feet idol of Hanumanji with 5 faces and hence the name of the temple.
It's a small temple and you can see floating stones also which were used in Ram setu bridge.

Located on the main road, while entering Rameswaram. No special parking; need to find a place on the main road.
There are also displays of floating stones, which were supposedly used to construct the Ram Setu bridge
Photography is not allowed!

The site is next to laxman theertham.
The priest there stated that the main idol of Hanuman was found floating on the waters of Agneethertham. I was blessed to see the floating stone there in the temple. Photography was strictly not allowed inside.

I was here while Holy Rameshwaram visit.
After Darshan to Ramnathnath swamy temple, I was here during local sight scene.
Sacred idol of Lord Hanuman is very attractive.
Temple priest was from North India, whom I know after discussion.

This panchamukhi hanumanji temple is on the main road after cross Pamban Bridge. The religious importance of this place is huge
But due to ignorance of our community and local government it is in such a small area. This Temple has the floating stones used by Sri Rama Army to travel to Srilanka. These blessed stones float in the water. As the saying goes Neel and Nal had the power to turn these stones to float on the ocean and make way for the great Army.Panchukhi Hanumanji roop and its black colour has a history which the temple pujari will explain to you. There is hanumanji statue inside carved out from single stone which is more than 700 years old. Please donate generously for the maintenance of the site and the pujaris involved.

The temple is also called the Panchamukha Hanuman temple. It showcases the Mesmerizing deity of lord Hanuman with 5 heads. The floating rocks are displayed inside the temple. I really loved the place and especially the Hanuman Statue. I am a stone art lover and to make more beautiful stone statues go to thestonestudio.in
They make beautiful handcrafted Hanuman and other God sculptures.

Can we book Homa or Havan or personal pooja in this temple to thank Lord Hanumanji?
Or is it only for darshans and leaving?

If you reach at 4.30 am, you will be able to see the MANI, donated by the king of Nepal to the Shankaracharya of Rameshwaram Dham (since Mitlesh is in Nepal, that may be link). This is for view only from 5 am to 6 am
Thereafter it takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to have bath in all the 22 wells and thereafter about 1-2 hours more. This assuming that you hire a smart GUIDE (PANDA) who buys VIP tickets and manages your way through. So with this route you can be done by 10 or 11 am and thereafter see Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir, Raman Padham till about 1 pm.
However, if you get stuck in the long lines, these can be upto 2 hours long for Darshan, more if it is rush time. There are no big lines for bath. A guide can ensure that you get proper bucket full of bath in all the 22 wells, else they just sprinkle water.
The Dham visit is only complete if you have a bath in waters from the 22 wells, else it is a simple tourism visit
How far is this temple from Rameshwaram main temple?
