This is just an amazing place to visit. I suggest that you visit as early morning as possible. Try to avoid the rush. When there are more priests they tend to demand money and it takes away from the experience. 4am blessings are the best....More

Not aware of Dharmshala but no.s of hotels/lodge just outside the temple are available

if you compare the priests with those in temples of the North or Kolkata, they are very very nice. But yes, they are looking for ways to earn a little extra so greasing palms or giving dakshina makes your job easier.

The temple is quite but darshan is not difficult.. its a big temple for sure but wheel chair arrangements were available.. And lingam darshan is early mrngs alone.. try to visit the temple after Jan.. perhaps end of Jan... More
