The pujari explained to us that this Temple was built by an European Lady. Behind the Temple, their is a hall where the poor are fed daily for free. Also, many handicraft shops around... More

We drive to Poombarai village in evening, located in the heart of the Palani hills after driving 18 kilometers from Kodaikanal. Kuzhanthai Velappar Temple is a well-known temple of Lord Murugan and is also called mini Palani and is under administration of Palani Murugan Temple. The temple is located in a scenic location surrounded by beautiful hills and valleys. A... More

This is a very very temple located in poomparai village. It was very calm and nice temple to visit in kodaikanal. This is not kurinji andavar temple. This kulandai velar temple has wider place to sit and there is a tree in the centre of attraction. Good one!!

This temple is located in Pooparai village and the idol is supposed to be made from Navapashanam ( meaning made from 9 minerals) and the temple itself is nearly 3000 years old. The priest was very patient in explaining us the details and history of the temple. It was a very calm and serene experience to be inside this temple.I... More

Though it is reported that this temple at Poomparai village is more than 3000 years old, it does not look like so. But there is a plaque which states it is so and the priest and others in the temple refer to this plaque and say this temple is such old. But the temple is beautiful to look and visit... More

Nice valley view with view of clouds coming up suddenly. Shops outside have good collection and reasonable prices, have to bargain.
