Udaipur is more romantic and beautiful place as compared to Chittaurgarh. You can stay in Udaipur and can visit nearby places. You can find hotels here as per your budget

I would recommend Rajashthan Four Wheel Drive to provide guides and driver services for Rajasthan . We went Udaipur to Jaipur to Agra to Delhi. See my Trip Advisor review.
