Dhabhai Kund, together with Ranji ki Baori, is the best stepwell in Bundi. Bundi is not exactly a main tourist priority, so even here maintenance and conservation could be a lot better. The omnipresent pigeons leave their droppings all over the place and the water is green and polluted. That is a pity, because it is a grand structure and should be cared for.

Not very far from Raniji ki Baori which a stepped well, this is a Kund (Large Square Well). There are steps on all sides of the Kund that go deep below. It is a very impressive structure if one sees it when there is less or no water. You will see lots of stairs going down below. Probably it was built by Dhai (Servant) of the king and thats why its name. No entry fee but maintenance is very poor. Nevertheless, do visit if you are in Bundi.

This step well was beautiful and it went down to the bottom so we were able to see the whole thing which looked very impressive. My mum got very bad vertigo here so just be careful if you suffer from vertigo. Unfortunately the restoration isn’t amazing and it slightly dirty, especially at the bottom there is so much litter which ruins the look of it.

If you haven't seen a stepwell elsewhere in India it is certainly worth a look. The engineering and skill taken to construct the stepwell is impressive. It is a shame that there was no water in the bottom when we visited. The approaching street was filthy and the area inside the grounds and the steps themselves were also full of rubbish. Such a shame that the kund is not looked after better.

Very attractive architecture. A series of steps lead to down and as much go down it looks massive wall come to you. A perfect example of symmetry. Steps walks by rhythms. Used for public welfare, memorial and functional areal. Standing From the opposite end of entrance- massive mass gallery, feeling like a perfect example of Indian amphitheater where people gather for to celebration and activity.

Dhabhai Kund is one of the good Step Wells in Bundi. Close to the main city, it shows the artistic skills. But there is no proper maintenance by authorities. In March, there was no water in it. Waste were dumped in it also.

The best thing about this place is ... free of charge.
To me, this is an ordinary step well without any attractive feature.
The well is dry.

It was a bit dirty with all the plastic floating in the water, but otherwise a very nice arhitecture and engineering - hope to return here one day to find it clean and taken care of.
