Do visit the place. Plan for around 2-3 hours. Just go to the place and sit there looking at the temple. Try to go at night.

I don't think I have ever been so mesmerized by a building & the aura surrounding it. The Golden Temple is beyond words in how stunning it is but it's more than that. The calmly respectful (& highly colourful) Sikhs that come here on pilgrimage bring a beautiful energy with them that compliments this reverent place. The Taj Mahal is... More

I was quite taken by the hospitality of the keepers of the Golden Temple. It is free yet one has to follow proper guidlines to visit the Temple.

What should I write about this place. I would say just Visit once for a totally different experience. Golden temple is holy shrine of sikhs but this shrine is open for every religion, cast, color and gender anyone can visit here to pray and have free food (langar). visit early morning or in evening for best views.

The most famous Gurudwara as well as the most visited landmark in Amritsar is one of the holiest for Sikhs. The outer street has recently been renovated to resemble a dream World. The inside of the Gurudwara as well as the sanctum sanctorum give you peace and bring the devotion in one's self to the fore.

The Golden Temple in Amritsar is one of the iconic places to visit. Beautiful structure and wonderful layout, all very well maintained with very orderly queues of worshipers and visitors.

This place is so so so so so close to me and wife's heart that I cant describe. This is the place where we find peace and a feeling of contentment in life. We love the beautiful architecture and heavenly atmosphere within the most visited Gurudwara of the world. We keep coming here once every year and rejuvenate ourselves. Waheguruji... More
