You simply cannot take your eyes off it. The Palki Sahib ceremony happens twice daily and is very well organised for the queues. Agra please take note!
Do try to get a view inside if your guide can get permission. The amount of gold and ornate work is stunning interior too.

The beauty of the temple is beyond words can explain, and now everything is beautifully organised, Should surely visit . Do be cautious on weekends and holidays as darshan would take double the time close to 3 hours better do on a weekday

Amritsar is known for this spot as a tourist place and you cannot miss the same. Very clean surrounding with good upkeep by the devotees themselves with free food available to all. Parikrama around the temple could be more than 2 Km, There was lot of rush and we could not wait to go inside the temple. Had lot of photos

I have come to find most monuments fall down on the pedestal of expectations we build from other descriptions, pictures, and videos. However, the Golden Temple, is really panoramic and takes your breath away. No pictures or videos or descriptions can describe it. You need to see it - and the minutae around it to appreciate it.

It is very much part of the Golden Temple. We went in the evening and expected a huge crowd of devotees but probably we reached a bit late and crowd was not much. further, winter was still very much on at that time.

This is the golden temple itself within the big complex of the Sich temple Harmandir Sahib . This is the place where every evening the big ceremony takes place and thousands of people queue here to get in . The holy book stays here for prayers through the day .

Well, what more is left to say about this holy temple? A visit that was calming and healing. One just doesn't get the sense of being amongst thousands of devotees - It is amazingly well organized and efficient. A visit to the temple at sunrise is highly recommended.
