Akal Takht is part of the golden temple premises. This place is just opposite to the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib). Just sit here and relax.

The Akal Takht which means throne of the timeless one is one of five takhts of the Sikhs. It is just as beautiful and serene as the Harmandir Sahib.

Akal Takht is situated at Golden Temple road, Atta Mandir, Katra Ahluwalia, Amritsar. It means the Throne of the Immortal and is the highest political institution of the Sikhs.
