Nice place to visit with family and friends.....beautiful temple....you have climb around 300-350 stairs...the temple is on the top of the hill....best time to visit is winter and monsoon so that you can enjoy the great view....you can carry tiffins have darshan and can enjoy the lunch....must visit place......

This place is situated on the hill name Gajpanth. 400 steps are there to reach this caves. Many olds god idols carved here in the caves. Very much popular in Digamber jain community. Anajaneri caves are just 16 kms away from this caves.

Its an ancient piece of history and has lot of significance for the Jain devotees.. While the climb is bit difficult with the step, but totally worth it...

In the mahasrul village ryt outside nashik on dindori road are the beautiful cave temples for jains called as gajpantha teerth. The caves are at the top of the hill..there is a steep climb above the hill of almost 450 steps..last few are very cumbersome. On the end of nasik on dindori side, this is a difficult climb, especially the last 5 steps are very difficult due to the height & the position, it is supposed to be Jain caves, but you can not really differentiate between Buddha caves & jain caves,caves are not in good state, this is ok if you want to test... good for exercise and its near from my home too.Mahavir's idol is very huge nearly touching the ceiling and will surely impress everyone.visit before sunset as door has to be closed.you may use backside road for trekking to highest peak.
