Rose Garden, don’t go by the name, but a must visit. A well maintained garden with an entry fee of Rs 25 with various flowers and nicely decorated and maintained plants. You take a stroll around and there are enough photo points. Enjoyed our trip with some beautiful pictures for memory. A must visit.

This is a pleasant garden with lots of different colourful flowers. I wondered why the fences on the roadside were covered. Probably because the garden is not very big. Without the covers you could easily oversee the main part. Anyway a small attraction on the way to Mattupetty dam. Very popular, perhaps explaining why there are many stalls selling tea and coffee, even small meals and of course souvenirs.

Do not expect something similar to the Rose gardens in Ooty, which are much more spectacular and by the way 10 Rs cheaper to visit.

Entrance fee 50 Rs.

As soon as we drove up to enter it was clear that the Rose garden was not a rose garden. It wasnt the right time of year for blooms but our driver advised it was worth visiting. pay to enter. It is set on a slope so is terraced and has stairs going to each level. there are many plants on display, for sale - depending on season and what is in flower. Nothing unusual as far as plants went but it is located near a tea garden and has a row of well manicured conifer trees. This helped us decide not to visit other so called botanic gardens. They are purely small gardens or retail outlets. If you dont have your own garden and want to see some flowering plants - then go.

Rose garden or KFDC forticulture centre, is located around 6 kms from Munnar town en-route top station. The place is well maintained with a reasonably good variety of flowering plants, including some of the rarer species too.

You can get some nice and colorful pictures clicked. Plants are available for sale too, but they may be a bit pricey.

Entry fees : INR 50/- per head

Flowers all around- a very good place for Photo-shoot. The Garden is well maintained with well defined directions for walking around. There are many other flowers also, apart from Roses.

I read some reviews that seem to think this was just a few flowers in pots. It is so much more - open your eyes and spend some time. An absolute riot of colour and a rich selection of tropical plants well displayed in the garden. We loved the time we spent there.

I was slightly confused when our driver dropped us here because it looked like a garden centre. However, it was actually very lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed walking around. It's a very popular attraction, with lots of people having photo shoots, which added to the fun.

There are a lot of steps, so it's not wheelchair accessible.

I remember our driver mentioning "Rose Garden" but I don't see any sign with this name at all. The entrance fee receipt says KTDC Floriculture Centre, but strangely, I could not find KTDC Floriculture Centre in Wikipedia. I think this should be sorted out, since it is indeed a worthy visit.
Anyway, there are many beautiful flowers in this Garden, not just roses as the name suggests. The beautiful colours are lovely for photos. Different plants are clearly labeled for easy identification. There were also plants for sale at very reasonable prices at the end of the visit.
Very nice environment and the garden has clear signage marking out the path so we do not miss any parts/plants. At the end of the walk, there is a rest area selling refreshments which also provides clean toilets.
Requires walking and old people with walking problems need to be careful. Not suitable in rainy seasons as it is in the open.
