Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary and Anamalai forests are Kerala's and Tamil Nadu's ranges of the same forest. One of the places where I had always been lucky in spotting wildlife. Though Dec-Jan is the best season to spot wildlife, we didn't want to spare a chance to try out my luck during Sep. On the way back from Kodaikanal to Kochi,... More

In any wild life sanctuary you can never be sure about seeing a particular animal but this wildlife sanctuary has reasonable entry free (same for all nationalities) unlike national park there. I took half an hour walk in the forest there for 55 rupees as i was short on time, it was worth it! However, i wont recommend this for... More

I've been to sanctuary several times and had the opportunity to see elephants. Beware of monkeys while you enter the gate.

Had an awesome and thrilling experience when we went there. We spotted wild elephants(some 20 - 25) on the road both in our onward and return journey. They were having good lunch on the way-side bushes wherein we had to stop for 10 mins for them to pass. Beware of not reaching too close to them, they can panic sometimes... More
