it is just a small area where you are allowed to sit back and dip your feet in the water and take pictures but it is worth going to. buy yourself some raw mango slices or pine apples , dip your feet in the water and just chillllll. spend half an hour and come back relaxed.

The dam is surrounded by beautiful mountains. In morning its looks extra ordinary foggy atmosphere. No other place compare with this place. Boating and speed boating rides available. I tries speed boat

I had great time at this dam with speed boating!! All safety measures well maintained by the Kerala tourism and Rs.600 for a speed boat is really cheap for 15-20 mts ride on the dam. Courteous staff and boat operators will regulated definitely a place to visit in Munnar!!!

The place is really good and scenic. The speed boat ride though short is amazing and not to be missed. For Rs 600 you can hire boat for 5 people. While in river, the beauty of mountains and trees/greenery around will mesmerize you completely. Truly, the best spot of Munnar.

The dam is beautiful. It is certainly one of the highlights of Munnar and no visit to this hill station will be complete without visiting Mattupetty Dam. Just wish local businesses like shooting balloons and other shanty shops all around the dam do not spoil the serenity of the area. Boat ride is fun and adventurous but expensive.
