This is located some 15-20 km away from Munnar and is located on top of the hill. Requires a 4x4 jeep to visit as the road is bumpy and often off-road travel is required. This tea estate has an old world charm. Nothing fancy in the factory as the process and equipment are very old. The site has heritage importance... More

Booked a jeep from CM Munnar for this excursion. The road is very bumpy but we had loads of fun as kids were happy with excitement of such different experience. The road is lined up with tea garden. Every nook and corner is a picturesque landscape. The tea factory is very old and the guide explained the tea making process.... More

The best place in Munnar. Bumpy ride, you have to hire a 4 wheel drive. It is quite scenic. It is the highest tea estate in the World!

The best thing in going to Kollukumalai tea estate is the crazy jeep ride from Chinnakanal. It is absolutely worth every penny they charge. To refresh you after the super bumpy ride, they provide the fresh brewed black or milk tea. As a topping to your ride, one can visit the tea factory for a nominal entrance fee. They explain... More

Trip to this place is via off road and if you have back problem then don't try but if you r all fit n fine then all the off road... More

This is the best tea estate in India. Its beauty is beyond rating. You have to hire local jeep to reach this place. There is no proper road for 5 km. This place is in Tamil Nadu and Kerala border.

First attraction of the trip was the off road drive which was awesome. And the journey through tea estate was very interesting. There are some small natural waterfalls and the view from the Kolukkumalai is superb. Also it is worth visiting the tea factory over there.
