About
We all love places and experiences where we can reconnect with the child inside us. The childlike enthusiasm with which all our guests yell to their hearts content at this wonderful location is a truly endearing sight. About 15 km from Munnar lies the famous Echo Point. Popular for its natural echo phenomenon, one can always see the area full of eager visitors throughout the year. At an altitude

- ashishBengaluru, India289 contributionsReal echos. Nice natural beauty. Pedal Boating.Great scenic beauty! Boating amidst nature! The boating fee is 600/- for a 4 person pedal boat and 400/- for a 2 person kayak or pedal boat. Can spend an hour or two here. And it really echoes when you make a loud sound (though not from the boat). Recommended to boat here and skip crowded experience at Madupatty Dam.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 2 January 2024
- Dhaval MMumbai, India49 contributionsGood ExperienceThis point is a scenic in nature. We did kayaking over there which was around Rs. 400 per couple. You also can get clicked from DSLR from the cameraman over there who will provide you the pictures for Rs. 20 per image. Whilst Kayaking you also can ask the cameraman to get your candid images.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 January 2024

Nice place to visit and enjoy some serene surroundings, but often it gets overcrowded. - Voyager161297543897 contributionsMesmerizing MunnarIt's an awesome experience of going there. Greeneries all the way. Far-streched tree plantation over the wavy hills will sooth your eyes. The very good condition of the metal roads cuts through this green tops interrupted by lakes and small water bodies here and there reinforced the serenity of beautiful Munnar. Visiting the Eraviculam national park and witnessing the near extinct "Nilgiri Tahr" adds to a rare experience. We couldn't see the nilkurunji flowers due to odd time. We also enjoyed the stretches of spice garden which is a treasure by itself. Overall it justified *God's own country*.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 February 2024
- Mohsin AMuscat, Oman508 contributionsBeautiful spot not managed wellEcho point is a beautiful spot particularly during monsoon. Yes if you shout it does echo back. Nice place for boating. The entrance fee was 20 INR per adult. Less than 5 years was free. However there is no proper parking or shop management. You have to park along the road. The shops have just come up organically. There is no decent coffee shop. The place can be transformed into a very beautiful spot with proper planning. Unless you are going for boating not a must visit place.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 8 July 2024

This place will bring out the child in you. It is fun to stand here, scream out loud and hear your voice resounding through the hills.
The view around is amazing with a calm lake and hills around. There is a nominal entry fee. Boating option is also available.

We stopped at Echo Point and were disheartened to see how many people had already arrived. It was so busy that after exploring the area and boating options, we decided to drive further up to the next Echo Point. The area is scenic but gets very busy - lots of monkeys too. Recommend you make sure to leave this area - it is heavily wooded and not the best place to drive at night. No lighting.

The point is easily accessible from all over Munnar. Lot of people go to visit this place.
We went on 18th Feb 2020. There is a ticket of Rs. 20/- for entering the barricaded area, but there no need to enter that area. The total area is clearly visible from the non-ticket area and the 'echoing' can conveniently be done from there.
The staircase to climb up and down are very stiff and rough, difficult for elderly persons

One of the spots to see if you take a 4 wheel drive adventure ride in Munnar.
As the name suggests, if you shout out loud enough, you can hear your echo.
There is a stream that runs through.
Tranquil and serene.
