This was a great trek up into the hills through the tea plantations and down through the spice growing area.
The views were spectacular, much better than anything we saw subsequently. Our guide Srinath gave us great information and was a delight as a companion.
We had originally opted for the half day but extended to the full day once we saw how nice it was. Home cooked food was provided.
We would highly recommend as a way to get way from the very busy town and roads.
The trekking was OK for us old folk although quite a steep downhill section.
The views were spectacular, much better than anything we saw subsequently. Our guide Srinath gave us great information and was a delight as a companion.

My boyfriend and I did the half day mountain trekking tour with Sri; and it’s probably the best thing we’ve done in India.
We contacted Sri 2 days before the hike and he was quick and efficient in planning.
We did not have transport in Munnar so Sri arrange for an auto-rickshaw to pick us up from our accommodation for an incredibly reasonable price.
During our hike Sri gave us a great history of the area, helped us spot different flora and fauna without overwhelming us with information.
The breakfast Sri’s wife cooked was lovely, a local type of donut, as well as chapatis and a potato dish. Absolutely delicious!
If you are thinking about doing any kind of trekking/hiking/walks in Munnar; this is the tour company to try!
Also Sri had great recommendations for a tea company tour that we greatly enjoyed after our hike. His recommendations are great!

Srinath is very friendly and speaks good English. He looked after us very well and gave us lots of interesting information. The home-cooked breakfast was delicious, and we ate it looking at a fabulous view. It was a pleasant, easy walk through the tea plantation, then a steeper, rocky path to the top of the mountain/big hill. The way down was a sometimes rocky, sometimes slippery path through thick vegetation. Anyone who likes walking somewhere like the Lake District would enjoy it. The programme of walks appears to be flexible and changeable, but I would 100% recommend trekking with Srinath, because we had an excellent time.

We had a great half day trekking trip with Srinath. The trip was around 12 KMs and was at a leisurely pace. Srinath was very professional and shared a lot of information on the tea plantation and the history of the place. The route was medium difficulty with fantastic views and breathtaking scenery. Breakfast and fruits were included in the price and it was delicious and homemade. We definitely recommend the company and the trip to anyone.

We had an absolutely brilliant day with Srinath. He was helpful via Whatsapp prior to the day and on the morning he was right on time. We did the full day trek and it was so interesting, taking in tea plantations, mountain tops and spice forests. Srinath was very knowledgeable and told us so much about what we were seeing. He provided breakfast and lunch cooked by his wife which were both delicious. Thanks for a great day out!

Great half day mountain hike with Srinath. Friendly and helpful guide. Interacted really well with the group, spent some time explaining relevant subjects regarding tea plantation workers, Indian industry, the flora and fauna and other questions that arose in the group. He regularly checked on the welfare of the group and adjusted the pace accordingly.
A tasty home cooked breakfast was provided at the halfway point - a wonderful vista to eat locally made food (thank you to Srinath's wife for that). At the end we all went for coffee together and Srinath arranged an auto rickshaw back to our accommodation in the town at no extra cost.
A great half-day and good value for money. No hesitation in recommending.

My partner and I booked a half day trekking with Srinath and it was great fun. We started the hike at 7am finishing around 12am totalling 11km. Srinath was super knowledgeable about the area, plants and animals. He was able to identify different animal footprints which lead to us seeing a wild elephant at the top of the mountain in the forest, which was amazing!!
The hike itself was perfect for us and our fitness levels, challenging but so rewarding when we reached our breakfast spot overlooking the tea plantations and villages. Srinath even provided a delicious breakfast homemade by his wife which fuelled us for the rest of the trek.
Couldn’t recommend this company enough, great value for money and would love to come back and do a full day in the future.

We went on a 11km trek through the tea plantations with Srinath - departing at 7 am and returning around 12 pm.
It was quite sporty as we climbed up and down various small mountain peaks (with my 60yo Mum, my 28yo brother and me, 31yo). We also crossed the rainforest and walked through the heart of the tea plantations.
Srinath is very interesting, erudite and cultured; with his 18 years of experience in these mountains, he knows a lot about the different species of plants, flowers and animals and he explains very well the history of Munnar and the cultivation of the tea plantations. He loves to learn some French words but he already knows a lot!!
Srinath is truly lovely, very helpful, and flexible (he adjusts the pace based on the difficulty and takes regular breaks). He also takes pictures of us at different moments, in front of breathtaking landscapes!
At the end of the trek, he even recommended a local restaurant, helped us order at the restaurant, and negotiated the return trip by tuk-tuk for us.
Special mention for the delicious homemade breakfast prepared by his wife, which we enjoyed at the top of a peak!

I couldn’t recommend this more. It is incredible value for money as Sri is a fantastic guide who has put a lot of work into making the experience interesting and valuable.
We did the all day trek in the mountains, tea plantations and spice farms - it’s beautiful! What made it extra special is that Sri was pointing out plants and animals as well as telling us local stories and history. I left with a much deeper understanding of Munnar, both as a place and its nature.
Delicious home-cooked food and water were provided, the walk was challenging uphill and downhill but we took frequent breaks and adjusted the pace as per the group’s needs.
We only had one full day in Munnar and took a chance on this being the main thing we did - I am so glad we chose Sri and Munnar Trekking Adventures.

We could not have had a better guide. He had lots of local knowledge which he shared with us. We learnt about life in the tea plantations and the history of the area . He was careful , considerate and a pleasure to walk with. At breakfast time he produced a delicious meal all cooked by his wife. On the way back down the steep incline he helped me on the tricky bits as I have a knee that can misbehave when walking downhill. It was an experience I will not forget in a hurry !

Hey I would like to know any good hotels to stay nearby... Google shows just one or two,have booked for Munnar trekking adventure on 29th Jan. Any kind of suggestion will be really helpful

We stayed at the Gruenberg tea plantation and it was a spectacular view. At 12km from Munnar. Only 250 rp in tuktuk. All nice hotels are out of Munnar city. It depends of your budget. The Gruenberg was 4000 per night or so. Nice homestays are also available for budget.
