Very badly maintained. Everyone gives the excuse of BHUJ Earthquake which allegedly has caused some damages but for a tourist site by now Tourism ministry should have rebuilt it to a decent level. Instead of spending money on advertisements by Gujarat Tourism they should address the upkeep and housekeeping of the place. Signages in English have wrong spellings and grammer... More

The Aina Mahal palace, or “Hall of Mirrors” was built during the flamboyant rule of Lakhpatji in the middle of the 18th century. Master craftsman Ramsinh Malam, who trained as an artisan for 17 years in Europe, felt unappreciated by lesser rulers in the area, so he went to the royal court at Bhuj and appealed to the king for... This is a two story building located in the heart of Bhuj. It has artifacts from the past. Unfortunately, it is not for anyone with disabilities as they do not have elevators. Also the displays are pretty dark despite attempts t high light them with randomly placed lights. They are are also very particular no one photographs anything here.Worth one... More

Located in the same premises as the Prag Mahal – the entire complex is known as Durbargarh Complex – this is another site worth visiting. It was badly damaged during the major earthquake in 2001, but now that much of it has been restored, there is much to be admired, like the court room, music room, the horse buggies, the... More

We visited Aaina Mahala after visit of Prag Mahala. It was a nice palace of the king. Aina Mahala is famous for housing an awesome Hall of Mirrors and gilded ornaments. The most distinctive feature of Aaina Mahala is its Indo-European architecture. Many rooms and old things to be seen in the palace. It shows us the way the royalties... More

Aina mahal or glass palace is within the Bhuj city accessed through narrow streets. The complex within which Aina mahal is located does look dilapidated.msome locals said the place suffered damages during the earthquack. Nevertheless the Aina mahal is reasonably well preserved from inside with several artefacts exhibited. The sad part is the indifference of the staff. The display boards... More

This can be covered while visiting Prag Mahal ( same compound). It has a separate entry fee , separate fee for camera . has a lot of paintings and kutchi artwork by the erstwhile Maharaj of Kutch. The highlight is the former hall of the Maharaj which still has indigo blue flooring done by artisans of that era. Can be... More
