I recently went to Rann of Kutch and visited the white desert. You cant afford to miss the stunning view here. Once in your lifetime, do watch the spectacular sunrise in this desert. Travel tips: -The best time to visit the White Desert in during Jan-Feb. The salt crystalises and you can walk easily in the desert. During December, the... More

What I didn't expect was the vast amount of tourist facilities their are especially at the sunset viewing spot. But over look all that and it is amazing, going from white to pink as the sun sets. You will never have seen anything like it.

White desert is just beautiful especially if you want to see sunset. We went in November and it was filled with water, we heard it dries up by january. Best months to go Jan, Feb and March.

The white desert is a humbling and magical experience. Miles of white stretching till horizon makes you feel a part of nature . It should definitely be a part of everyone's bucket list . Tips : wear sports shoes or hiking shoes with thick soles preferably, as the salt is very mushy , esp in early winter .

The white desert is a must visit at Kutch. If one reaches there around 4 on a winter day, we can catch the sunset and sunrise which is almost simultaneous and a stunning thing to watch.
