When in Goa, we usually end up visiting beaches or forts. One offbeat place to visit in Goa apart from it’s beaches is Kesarval spring, a small spring-waterfall in Goa, prominent in the monsoons.
The spring is popular amongst the locals for it’s medicinal properties. Usually, there is hardly any water in the spring. In the monsoon, it is usually like a waterfall. A staircase leads you to the falls. The place is a bit secluded so it is better to travel with a group.
A landmark to reach the spring is the hotel Kesarval Retreat. The place is a little difficult to find. You have to take a left on the highway, near Kesarval Retreat, when you travel towards south Goa.

The spring at Kesarval is located 22 kms away from Panajim. The spot can be reached soon after crossing the bridge on the Zuari river. A good attraction in Panajim

this spring looks beatific, especially during the monsoon with torrential water flows. not much trekking needed to get there. Its just a tad inside from the highway. the spring also has water gushing out from small channels from the earth. the sand has a different sort of texture, much like a limestone.

A simple single stream of water after descending a stairwell is not something one expects. This place maybe OK for visiting in rains but certainly doesn't make a very good case
