Make sure you keep this ancient temple on your itinerary when visiting Goa. Its one of the best spots to observe the ancient Hindu Saraswat traditions come alive during the Jatra that happens somewhere in the months of Jan-Feb.

Shri Manguesh Temple & Shantadurga temple are lovely places for a tourist to visit during the 1 day trip. These are generally covered in the tour packages.

It's a very nice temple in Ponda. As the name suggest, it is devoted to goddess Durga. It's a well maintained temple. Nice architecture. It is very clean. A typical Goan temple structure. They have provision for stay as well in the Bhakt-Nivas. There is a small canteen which provides lunch..

By seeing Hindu culture on the earth of Goa where we find mostly Christians was really nice. This temple was clean and calm place, I felt like lying on its marble floors as it was hot weather outside and as soon as we entered inside the temple we felt like we were in heaven.

This is the 3rd temple one can cover after Mangeshi & Mahalasa Narayani while arriving by road from Panjim to Ponda in North Goa. One can see a water tank of the left hand side before the entry. There is a provision for keeping your foot ware & wash the feet before entry. During summer time the path to the... More
