We engaged a guide to show us around and explained to us what we saw. Jerome is speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the stories he told us. Do not take any selfie inside the church. The building is extremely well...More

It so happen while I was there, the church was busy with St. Francis's celebration. Amazing crowd. The church itself is a charm and pretty. Had an encounter with the priest, a friendly one! Felt blessed to have seen this place.

My wife and I visited the place when we were touring around Goa! Seeing a structure that is 400 years old standing so tall and in good condition is amazing!! Do hire a guide to learn the history of the church and the artefacts inside...

One of the best historical places in Old goa. It has a very good historical lineage and its light and sound demonstration is worth viewing. It contains the body of Francis Xavier for last 550 years. It should be in every travelers list.

Nice church with good history. The basilica holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier.Best time to visit this place is in the morning because it is less crowded at that time.

We got to see a wedding at the church also. Church is old and architecture is beautiful. Some construction is going on so in pics steel bars etc. will come. Inside church is beautiful. No entry for people wearing shorts. 3/4 pants will work.

Hi, there's no entrance charge for the church but mind the dress code - no shorts and sleeveless clothes for the guys or girls. The main Feast happens on 3 Dec every year with a 10 novena preceding it but nothing I'm aware... More
