Serene and lovely location. The guides were helpful in telling us all about the history however the presentation was short but very interesting

This is one of the most famous Catholic Church in Old Goa. In Old Goa are 2 churches. One of them is the Basilica of Bom Jesus. Beautiful church. Inside a beautiful iconostasis. Here are the relics of St. Francis Xavier.

This Baroque basilica is awesome from the outside. Across the road is the equally impressive Se Cathedral. Upon entry, it looked like any other basilica until our guide pointed out the area which housed the remains of St Francis Xavier. It has to be seen to be believed - the unpreserved body of the missionary, looking withered but not decomposed.... More

I found it as any other church except that it is very huge and old church with some historical n architectural importance. There is number of churches in Goa so not a must visit place unless you are interested in history. I visited this place on Christmas and it was too crowded. Not as much peaceful as a religious place... More

While most visitors seem to visit this church because of the shudders the depiction of St. Francis conserved body gives, we liked more the church itself and the adjoining garden. We recommend to visit this church.

Goa is so different from the rest of India, it could be tucked away somewhere in souther Europe. Churches everywhere, this one holds the grave of the great Missionary Francis Xaverius and is one of the many, altough the most important church in Old Goa.

Beautiful church. Must visit. Information provided on the church can be improved. The small shop was good and has what my mom was looking for
