Aldona can be the best Goa can offer except the sea. As a visitor to this beautiful place. I assumed it my write to carry a camera in Aldona. I use only film cameras. Often older people have requested me to take their photo. On 1st June however after taking permission from a man high up on a pole soldering against the dramatic evening skies I was walking i away when a man came out and asked me to delete the images. I protested but I pulled the film roll out and gave it to him. He wasn’t satisfied and called another person who together they slapped me and wrested the camera out of my grip and smashed it to pieces. I was told they’re paranoid because of factional fights. I’m now too scared to go out. Waiting for my flight back home on Monday. Warning for all.

I was in Goa with my octogenarian parents. They have keen interest in history and wanted to visit Chandor. I contacted Soul Traveling online through their website and the entire booking process was very smooth. At he designated point we met Neol, the representative of the company. He was extremely friendly, well mannered and helpful. He took us through the different points of interest and most enthusiastically answered every question.

The Island tour was well organized and very informative, really enjoyed it and had a great time. Mayuresh and Mihir were very knowledgeable and gave a new insight to the island's heritage as well as a lot of local traditions shared over the feni tasting!

While we went with no specific expectations as such, it was a delight to spot crocodiles as well as a number of birds, in the clean backwaters. The ferry ride with the car in tow was exciting by itself. And ending the trip with local fenny and urrack was a fantastic idea. While we have been frequenting Goa, for many years in the past, this was a one of a kind experience, totally unlike the typical tourist dense beaches. It lent a local flavour, and we totally look forward to many more experiences and explorations like these. Keep up the good work! (The only disapointment we had, was at the entry point of the cashew picking and fenny brewing farm, while being welcomed to a big pile of disposable plastic litter. I as a practitioner of low-waste living, definitely hope they change for the better, of this beautiful state and the environment)
