Waves of Art Gift Shop is located in West End Village on Roatan Island in Honduras. Roatan is just one of the islands that make up the beautiful group of Bay Islands in Honduras. It's brightly painted facade stands out along the beachside town and is a visual temptation for shoppers, tourists and cruiseship tours. Regularly scheduled Art shows and Art Exhibitions offer the Roatan community and local residents an opportunity to see what island artists are creating. Unique and affordable gifts include a variety of folk art and hand made items that support fair trade organizations, eco-sustainable products and local artisan coops. Most of the beautiful items for sale are made in Honduras and Central America. Waves of Art Gallery and Gift Shop offers tourists and cruiseshippers an opportunity to find that special gift, support a local artist and shop in an air conditioned space.

There is a little bit of everything in this shop, not just art. We found this to be the best place to shop for souvenirs as there are clothes, handbags, magnets, and such with better prices and quality than the various stalls around the island.

We happened to walk by and thought, let's look. There is a stunning art studio there. Upstairs there were some stunning works. They also had some fun, and affordable gifts on the first floor. Totally worth your stop.

Waves of Art - Michele Braun - herself a bit of an artist is the owner and her shop has the most complete collection of local art, fabrics and memorabilia in Roatan and perhaps Honduras. Michele actually visits the sites where some of the work is done to see who the people are and how they live. She has a... More

I love visiting this store when picking up gifts for friends and family. They have a great variety of different items. This past trip my daughter wanted a white beaded purse for her upcoming wedding and found the perfect one here!

While visiting Roatan Island we found this lovely store and art gallery that has a good and reasonable selection of water colors and oils done by local artists. Some are beautifully framed and can be purchased framed or rolled in a protective cylinder that can be packed in luggage. There is also a nice selection of very reasonable jewelry. I... More

This little shop was really quite interesting showcasing local artists work for sale. They might even offer art lessons of some sort upstairs. Really nice pieces including jewellery, cards/notes, wall plaques, water colour prints, trinkets, woven items, etc. A place to add to your list to visit while in West End Roatan.

Nice selection. Worth checking out. They have a lot of jewelry to choose from. And the second floor has art.
