The catamaran ride was nice, but it was too long and the sailing out off from West Bay was a little rough. The fishing was negligible. I went with Captain Dusty snorkeling the Blue Channel, and that was very good, although I did not think it was as good snorkeling as the west side of West Bay. Dusty picked up... More

We hit Roatan while on the Carnival Glory the week of April 15th. We are 4 seniors, who love to snorkel! Going by the review here I picked Salty Dog and I believe it was a very good choice! We were met exactly where he told us he would be. Those not knowing Mahogany Bay, you have a little trek... More

Capt Dusty is an American who got away before United States drama engulfed his life. His sailboat carries a max of 8 on a sail and snorkel excursion. We had 6 on our day which made it really personal versus cruise excursions. Waiting for us at the cruise port. Dusty is really eco sensitive- so explained how to snorkel the... More

I had the good fortune of having a sunset cruise with Captain Dusty and his son while on Roatan. His sailboat was comfortable and he was a great host. He also took us snorkeling to some great reefs. I'm so appreciative to him because I'm a nervous snorkeler and was about to bail and just hang out on the boat,... More

During our recent visit to Roatan, our group took two trips with Capt Dusty. One was snorkeling the Blue Channel - which was awesome. He stayed with us and pointed out various fish. He knows the water and is very calm and laid back. His boat is a little rough, but certainly serves the purpose to have a private charter... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my "sail & snorkel" experience with Captain Dusty and Salty Dog Sea Charters! Capt. Dusty and Carlos provided professional care and an unforgettable adventure. The sea creatures were beautiful, and I have to say, watching Capt. Dusty skin dive to 40+ feet to point out a grouper "cleaning station," sea turtle, and other spectacular sights was almost... We booked our trip ahead of time for the first day we were there. We were hesitant to book something for our very first day but what an excellent way to put us into vacation mode. Our sail was so relaxing and beautiful. Dusty is a font of information about the area and it's history and geography. Not only did... More

On a recent cruise that included Roatan, Honduras, some friends and I hooked up with Captain Dusty for the most incredible snorkeling and sailing adventure we have ever been on. Captain Dusty is a weathered seaman who made the entire trip smooth, comfortable, easy to transact, and provided excellent service to all of us. He took us to the best... More

Whenever we cruise, we always look for a sailing snorkel adventure to get away from the cruise crowd. Captain Dusty was by far the best ever of the many islands we've visited. He was so accomodating to our food and beverage needs as well as keeping the onboard non-snorkelers comfortable. The snorkeling was the best ever. We saw eels, rays,... More
