The monuments are well located, and as usual in Macedonia, dedicated to religion. The statues are nice and it's pleasant to watch at them walking in the park, but nothing tremendous.

So these brothers created the Cyrillic alphabet which is a pretty big deal. But the statue looks like one of the guys is being a nuisance and trying to grab what the other guy is reading :) Its located right in the center of Ohrid, so you can't miss it.

These two men are so historically important not just to Ohrid but to the known world in their time. it is nice to see the monument honoring them. They created the Slavic alphabet used in many countries. It is a special landmark in the middle of town.

There are a number of these larger than life bronze sculptures with religious history themes in the old town square & they do add to attractiveness of the square & the old harbour precinct

Another statue in Ohrid for important saints, you cannot miss it, located near the harbor. If you get lost in Ohrid, this is the best place to arrange the meeting :)

Saints Cyril and Methodius were brothers and were Byzantine Christian theologians and Christian missionaries who developed the first Slavic alphabet as well as other notable acheivements. The monument commemorating their lives is close to the harbour in Ohrid where there are also other significant monuments.

Located right near the port and edge of the town, the Monument is centrally located. It has an interesting story, but when it comes down to it, it is a monument that takes about 1 minute to look at.

Icons of the founders of the Cyrillic alphabet. Nothing special but a worthwhile peep on passing along the lake boulevard
