We were there in the morning and visited the huts and small museum .It' s unusual and really worth seeing .There were lots of tourists from everywhere and the panorama from the huts looks great.

Stoped by on the way to Prespan lake. Nice parking spot just by the main road, entrance is only 100 din per person (approximately 1.25€) just a bit down the hill and you can see nice wooden cottages on the lake. Lots of history there....More

Very handy for a quick visit off the lake side road. Wonderfully recreated bronze age village on stilts. Great to see wattle and daub houses that are surprisingly cool. The bay its located in is used for scuba diving

Impressive site to see. You will get a good impression of the life centuries ago living in a small house on poles above the lake. Not much times did I meet sites like these where it looks like the people only left a few minutes...More

This was a pleasant boat ride excursion to reach the Bay of the Bones Museum. They have an interesting display that explains their (relatively recent) discovery of the ancient site in the museum. Then they have an open-air group of homes reconstructed like the original...More

The view of Lake Ohrid from the museum is beautiful. Other than this it is an average museum certainly not a must see.

Despite my 5 /5 rating we do have some mixed feelings about the Bay of Bones. This "things to do" is a mixture of a reconstructed Bronze to Iron age settlement built on, and over the lakeside at Ohrid. The reproduction is an impressive bit...More

This museum is a fantastic recreation of a Neolithic lake village. The huts are amazing and wonderful to be able to see the lake just below your feet. However, the signage telling you about it is lacking so it raised a great many questions which...More

It's a great replica on stilts over the lake. We visited as part of a catamaran tour on the way to St Naum. It was 100 Den to visit (about 1.25gbp) which I felt was reasonable. We stayed for 30 minutes which was the right...More

There are many local buses that drive from the centre of Ohrid all along to St. Naum near the border with Albania. They stop to whatever place you need to stop. The Bay of the Bones is just next to the camp Gradishte. You... More
