I wish we had taken more time to visit this place. I was not familiar with this attraction and it was only recommended as a part of a well organized, multi-city land tour. The destination to the top of the lighthouse was fun but I...More

Walking up the stairs through a colorful part of the city and taking in the views along the way is a great way to spend the afternoon. 444 steps to the top with places along the way to rest!

Even though there are 444 steps to the top, it is worth the view not necessarily the lighthouse. The lighthouse itself was under going construction inside so we were not able to go in, but it is a replica not the original wood one, anyway....More

If you are into walking, this is a good place to visit. You will need to go up a few stairs, so some minimal fitness is required. The views are very good.

Totally loved that the 444 steps finished up on the top with the lighthouse. You’ll definitely appreciate the views of the city from this vantage point

The Faro seems to be the ultimate tourist experience. I chose to stay on a landing just below the lighthouse but my husband ventured up there. He said there were beautiful views over the area. There are stairs, loads of them, leading up to the...More

Short taxi ride from the airport, you should be able to squeeze in a climb to the light house. Splendid view from there; don't forget to visit the chapel when you are up there!
