This definitely not what I was expecting, again expected something would meet up with the reviews in this city.

Appears not to be running indefinitely as is the case with a number of attractions in Guayaquil. We'll try again when they're operating.

It’s fun for kids and families, the tour is limited but allows for nice pictures of the city. There is food for purchase, and the option to pay for open bar access. There is no information about the city or the views shared with visitors.

I have gone pirating at least twice, both at night. It is a lot of fun, and if you have the right date, can be very romantic. The Morgan's crew are dressed like pirates, and there is a "pirate" show during the trip. The pirate ship takes you down river a ways to a point across from Santay Island before turning slowly North. That gives all aboard a chance to enjoy a view of Guayaquil's Malecon 2000 and all it has to offer. Good sailing! I loved it!

Our family (4 people) went on the 6pm Henry Morgan Pirate ship cruise last week on Sunday. The sun set around 6:30pm, so we got to see the beautiful sunset behind the city and also the city lights after dark. It was a very hot day, so we chose this time so that it would be cooler. There was a little live music (one musician who played the guitar). Otherwise, they played Latin music on the speakers. The cost was only $7 per person (no drinks included). We enjoyed the cruise and it was well worth 7 bucks.

So its only $7, for about an hour to sit and watch the Guayaquil shoreline pass by (or pay $17 to get include an open bar, the better price if you plan in 2,oe more, drinks). I went on a Friday at 4 p.m., and there were probably only another 12 people on the whole ship. The servers were friendly, the other people quiet and enjoying a relaxing hour out of the heat of the city. I ordered a wings and fries meal, and it was as good as you can expect our food to be, hot and fresh. I took several pictures of the shoreline, several pictures of another boat in the river, and played on my cell phone off and on. For $15 with an open bar, or $7 without, it was a nice different thing to do for an hour. I would do it again and catch the Sunset Cruise.

Overall the boat ride was pleasant, a short trip on the pirate ship around the harbour. We had drinks included in our price which have us a couple of options from beer, gin, vodka and whiskey.

The drinks were made way too strong which made them taste horrible. The vodka tasted like methylated spirits and barely drinkable. Same with the whiskey and gin, overpowered with about 70% alcohol in a tiny plastic cup and topped up with flat soft drink/Soda.

If you looking for a quick boat ride I would recommend this maybe if you had children for them to enjoy but don’t go for the drinks. Night lights of the city and surrounding were nice while on the water.

Being located right at the Guayas river, this river cruise departing/returning from Guayaquil's waterfront (also a must visit location) should be on a visitor's to do list.
Aprox 60-90 minutes trip providing views of Guayaquil's waterftront.
Highly recommended.

A nice ship for a photo or just to look at the construction. A long the malecon as part of the experience.

Buy tickets for a 1 hour cruise in the harbor for 7 dollars. It's a nice cruise with bar and restaurant onboard, but not guided. For a guided cruise I recommend the motorboats further north on Malecon 2000 (close to La Perla), 3 dollars for a one hour guided cruise.
