PARQUE HISTÓRICO ¿GOOD OR BAD ATTENTION?
My experience was very nice. I went 3 times for school matters and it is actually a very entertaining and interesting site. The attention of those in charge of explaining the characteristics of each animal is very good and understandable. The only thing that I don't like very much are the costs that there are in the food places, they are not so accessible, it is better to bring food on your own.

Guayaquil Historical Park Review By Willy Parrales
If you are lovers of animals and nature, the historical park is an ideal place that you have to visit if you are in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The park has tourist guides, information on animals and plants, a theater group for adults and children, entrepreneurship fairs, boat rides. It also has a hotel and a church also has free parking. The cost of the entrance is accessible you can go with friends or with your family.

    Animals birds and history
This park is actually across the river from Guayaquil in Samborondon. We took a guided tour that included many animals and birds in a jungle like setting on a humid morning. There are also historic buildings that were moved here from Guayaquil, and even several art exhibits in the buildings. You can walk to nearby Rio Centro Entre Rios mall for lunch after visiting. A cab ride from Guayaquil is the way to get there.

Hard to understand why this is a highlight of Guayaquil. Rather tired, animals kept in small pens, everything looking a bit run down.

This is quite far from the tourist areas of Guayaquil - it not walkable, even if the books say it is.
Once there it is quite interesting, especially the area with the animals. The historic area is less interesting and could use more explanations.
Café Julian nearby is a nice place for a coffee/drink.

If you have time in Guayaquil then this is a good place to go.

We were looking to get into the restaurant Casa Julian. The park was closed but we had heard good things about the restaurant food so we wanted to try it. When we asked for directions to the park’s guardian he was extremely rude and just mocked us. As if we would want to get inside the park even though it was closed. We spend only a few weeks a year in Ecuador and this is the kind of treatment one gets. We are not coming back to this place nor the restaurant.

If you're in the city it is worth checking out. Beautiful well kept church with amazing architecture. Right next to Iguana park you can't miss it.

I really wasn’t sure how to rate this park. I stayed at the Hotel which is located immediately adjacent to the park. The grounds surrounding the hotel & the park are lush & beautiful, unfortunately, the park isn’t open. As a guest of the hotel, you can see a couple of animals along the edge of the park , which are visible from the walkway to their restaurant.
It’s a shame that it’s not open. It looks well maintained, but don’t waste your time coming to this area of the city without checking on the status of its opening. Even then, double check on that, I asked several times about whether the park was open & was told by several different people that it was open & operating normally. I was very disappointed when I arrived at the hotel to find out that it was closed.
