    Beautiful town hall in Trogir
Trogir City Hall is located in the main square of Trogir (also called John Paul II Square), in the old town of the city, near Split in Dalmatian Coast. It is a nice building, you can see from the square and it is located near the St. Sebastian chapel. It is. Renaissance building, which is very beautiful. We only could see it from the square, not inside. another unique addition to the main square
The Renaissance Town Hall, a combination of various artistic styles, is another unique addition to the square giving the whole area some grandeur. It is somewhat better known as the Doge’s Palace and shares prominence with the Cathedral. If you have time, give the Town Hall a quick look because it has a beautiful Gothic courtyard decorated with coats of arms from prominent Trogir families, a monumental staircase and a water well carved with the winged lion of St Mark, the symbol of the Venetian Republic. It is also home to Trogir’s Tourist Information Office. Trogir is a charming port city located on the Adriatic Sea in central Dalmatia. The fact that it is worth coming here is proven by the fact that the old town is included in the UNESCO class of monuments. But you simply have to be here to feel the atmosphere of old tenement houses built in the Venetian

    One of interesting buildings
It is one of many important buildings on the main square. Bulid on the grounds of Duke's Palace, went through several reconstruction. Nowadays there is local Tourist office and also seat of the local authority. Apparently has beautiful courtyard but we haven't been inside.

Apart from City Hall, the other features are St Sebastian, the Cathedral of St Lawrence, The City Loggia & a Museum.
Apparently City Hall has evolved over many decades, firstly a second story being added, & then stone motifs representing prominent families or personalities of the City which now adds a great deal of interest to City Hall's facade. Perhaps an historian would benefit us travelers in providing a whole lot of detailed info on the history of different buildings & the like.

Situated in the main square this is a nice building with a clock tower - the clock still works. Plenty of history to take in, do it with a guide so you get the full detail.

This is a really attractive square right in the heart of old historic Trogir. There are many historic sites nearby. No wonder it is a UNESCO Heritage Site.

Nice square and lots of tour activity from cruise ships. The clock works perfectly and still looks old.

Pretty cool inside, have a local guide like Sandra take you inside! We learned a lot and talked about the Lion of Venice here!

Trogir's main square is located right in front of the City Hall. In the past, only nobles had access to it; it was only after 1848 did it open its doors to other members of the public.
The municipal administration department is still located here today.
