The port offers one of the best and most poetic views of the Old Town. I encourage you to find the place named in Google Maps as Rovinj Kokito, there I took these great pictures. It is the yacht harbour.

Rovinj is still today a lively and very active port, one of the last in the Mediterranean Sea to be almost exclusively dedicated to fishing; every morning, very early, the fishermen and their small boats take to the sea, then returning with their load of very fresh products, destined for the kitchens of homes and restaurants.

In addition to the fishing boats, there are numerous swanky yachts.

Wonderful town that has done a good job of utilizing the waterfront for boating and restaurants that is adjacent to a wonderful local park. Shops can be found in the interior and in town centre. In the future would spend more than 1 night.
I have not been to Dubrovnik which I’ve heard is lovely, but Rovinj
is really fabulous.

Ravishing Rovinj is a beautiful old town rising directly out of the sea. Be extra careful walking the cobblestone paths which tend to get very slippery on a wet day. We walked up to the cathedral. Although it was a rainy and windy day, we still enjoyed this gem and gorgeous jewel of Istria. We went there as a tour group from Rijeka. Many tour mates enjoyed their scrumptious yet affordable lunch at the different restaurants. I tried and liked the delicious meat Burek from their local bakery. There are interesting shops at Rovinj to peruse. A few Croats I talk to, have declared Rovinj to be their favourite city in Croatia.

The port could be cool place to eat your gelato during romantic evening while having awesome conversation. But if you are there by car prepare to have rather chauffeur with you. Parking lot is overpriced and it is only place to park. And during certain hours it's fully occupied.

Rovinj was lovely, would happily go back. Heavy on tourists in the summer - Mostly Germans and Italians, and other Europeans. Not so many tourists from Anglo countries - probably better that way!

A beautiful harbour with lots of boats of different sizes, cobblestone streets with pavement cafes, overlooking the harbour provide a lovely backdrop for sitting with a drink, and watching the world go by.

There are plenty of benches if you don’t want to buy drinks/ food. Plus a free water fountain to fill up with.

The sea water is very clear and we saw fishes close to the harbour.

Simply stroll along the harbour and soak up the atmosphere or people watch from one of the many bars & restaurants that are buzzing in late evening when the whole place seems to come alive.

A beautiful old port with so much interest and history. Well worth a visit. An amazing number of restaurants, bars and tavernas, with wonderful views overlooking the harbour, or on the cobbled back streets. Rovinj is lively, especially in the evening, when there are outdoor concerts and entertainers. Although there are not sandy beaches there are comfortable areas for safe swimming, and frequent ferries to the nearby islands.
