Kind of a cool and random little set of ruins, apparently dating back to 1800 - 1200 BC! Placards around the site offer more information, and the views from atop the hill are lovely. It can be windy (at least in February) and a bit chilly, so be sure to wear layers. You can park pretty much onsite and just walk a tiny ways up the hill to the ruins.

These ruins are located about a 10 min drive from the town of Rovinj. There's no entry fee or opening hours. Unfortunately, the information boards are faded, so you have to use other sources to find information about this place, but the walk around this historic settlement is lovely and peaceful.
The ruins can not be accessed by prams or wheelchair users, it takes around 40 min of slow walking and taking photos to get around.

If you are interested in Bronze Age settlements, this is a not to miss site, which involves about a half a mile walk from the car park. The various parts of the site are well marked with didactic/educational panels with photos and texts in several languages. If you think Troy or other Bronze Age sites are to die for, just wait until you visit this one!!!

This place has to be seen to be believed. The amount of masonry still standing after 3500-4000 years is amazing. The views from the top are the best I've seen in all Istria, a combination of the stunning sea view and the Brijuni islands and the land view of the lush Istrian countryside. The wonderful site speaks of a sophisticated civilisation living thousands of years ago in this gorgeous region. Pula's stunning arena seems a baby in comparison to this place, at half the age. It is difficult to find, I suggest you drive to the village of Kokuletovica, you will see a sign post to Monkodonja opposite a restaurant (incidentally, they do lovely desserts, don't remember the name to give a proper review). We parked here and walked up, about 1km, however you can also drive up, though if you have a rental car with a high insurance excess I suggest only going half way - when you get to a sign which says it's 600m away park up and walk the rest. It's rocky terrain and not suitable for the very young or those with mobility issues. Take a bottle of water, there's nothing up there! We were alone for most of our visit, a rare treat in the modern world to be far from anyone else.

Excellent site with information boards and super views but not signposted off roads so you have to either map read or ask a local for directions, easily accessible via mountain bikes

In Istra are a lot of remains from past days, but this Bronze age remains are very nice to visit. You can feel the past days. You can feel the people from that age. Go there with bikes or with car, it is very easy access.

We went by bike from Rovigno, 15 minutes, easy to reach. Interesting attraction, a "trip" in the past, the view of the islands was nice too.

This was such a find! It's so rare to see such a well-preserved Bronze-Age hill fort. It helps to note the co-ordinates of the entry road, so you can put them into your sat-nav, as it's only signposted close by. We were fortunate to be alone there, and it has a haunting and eerie atmosphere which we soaked up with relish. It was wonderful to walk through quite substantial remains of a town from the dawn of civilisation more than 3000 years ago. It's remarkable that there is so much masonry material still there. A lot of Mycenaean-style pottery has been unearthed at the site, suggesting trade ties between the two peoples. It really was one of the highlights of our trip to Croatia.

One of the most fascinating places in Istra. Unfortunately, little known to tourists. I recommend a visit.

We found out about this through geocaching and were very pleased that we made the short detour to see this. It is a very interesting location - about 3,000 to 4,000 years old. It is great to walk around and there are some informative information boards at various points. Highly recommend this.

Does this attraction cost money? What is the location coordinates / directions?

No it's free. Go to Kokuletovica village, it is signposted from there. You can park at the sign that says it's 1km away and walk up, drive just under half way to the sign that says it's 600m away or drive the whole way up. We walked the 1km because we read it was an unpaved road, but the first section of it was actually ok. The last 600m are extremely rocky and I wouldn't risk it in a high insurance excess rental car unless it's a 4x4!
