Decumanus Street is the main one in Porec and is pedestrianised. We took a leisurely stroll along this long, straight, street and found every type of shop imaginable. There is an abundance of cafes, restaurants, bars, ice cream parlours, etc. There were waiters standing outside most establishments doing their best to entice you in!
If you look up, you will see some magnificent Venetian architecture but make sure you tread carefully over the cobbled stones as they are very slippery.

During the walk thru Poreč you can not bypass the main street Decumanus. Like the former Roman colony Poreč retained the original Roman street layout. Among the many streets, the most important street is Decumanus. Decumanus Street is an impressive street, it has something for everyone. History, archaeology, architecture and some interesting bar. It was once glittering with many important palaces, but now it is unfortunately occupied by foreign sellers with bad Chinese products. Too bad. But the street still retained the original glow and people are happy to walk down this street.

Porec Main Street offers a great section of shops - good for clothes, shoes, bags, sunglasses you name it and you can buy it

Stretching the length of Porec Old Town, Decumanus Street is the old Roman main street through the town. Now lined with café and gift shops you will need to look upwards to take in the architecture (Venetian). The stroll from Marafor Square to the Church of Our Lady of the Angels (or vice versa) takes only 10/15 minutes, but you will probably want to take longer as you take in all of the sites close at hand.

You've got all the restaurant, bars, ice-creams, tourist shops that'd you'll ever want on a small street in the centre of Porces. It never seems to lose its charm and it's got something for almost everyone

Really old path that has symbols from the Roman and even Greek empires. Don't pay full price and be straight with vendors and stand your ground!

Decumanus ('ten hands') is the ancient Roman street that runs through the old town centre of Poreč, and leads to what now remains of the old Roman Forum. Nowadays it is the lively main street, and is lined with shops, cafés and restaurants.

Great walking through here people watching and going in the little shops. I swear they must polish those stones during the night, they are so shiny.
