Scenery absolutely beautiful. Visited in late October. We went there at 11 and spent about 3 hours. The amount of turists was reasonable, not too many. We had a small baby with us on a carrier and I recommend to use one instead of a...More

For a factual description, I cannot improve on the Wikipedia entry: "Plitviče Lakes National Park is a 295-sq.-km forest reserve in central Croatia. It's known for a chain of 16 terraced lakes, joined by waterfalls, that extend into a limestone canyon. Walkways and hiking trails...More

Plitvice are great even if your visit is during a family week when half of Croatia are there. Nature is beautiful, whenever you go can see something different, but autumn is special. Better to visit after a few rainy days, then there is more water....More

Plitvice National Park is a place that you have to visit. Beautiful nature, amazing. During our visit there was very crowded, a lot of People, so I don't enjoy the nature. I have to return to visit again in peace.

WOW, WOW, WOW. A must see and the highlight is the trip so far. Beautiful waterfalls, the clearest water I've ever seen. Plenty of small fish (chub) and a few pike. Really beautiful but I can see it wouldn't be pleasant if there are crowds...More

I'm grateful our strip wasn't any earlier in the tourist season, because the crowds that came to visit the beautiful waterfalls and lakes were still significant in mid-September. We tried starting our day at about 10:30AM, but that wasn't quite early enough to avoid all...More

The stroller would be impossible to take, as you are walking on an elevated wooden bridge throughout the park. If the baby could travel in one of those baby carriers it would be fine.
