The Malacological museum houses a large collection of shells, which are very beautiful to view with lots of interesting colours and patterns (although no photos allowed!). I did manage to grab a sneaky picture of the wonderful Franciscan monastery that the museum is housed in....More

The museum was only 10 minutes walk from our hotel so we have it a look. Cheap entry of 15 Kuna but there wasn't that much to see. Work was going on so perhaps they are planning on some improvements but two rooms of shells...More

The shells are beautiful, some huge and others less than 1 cm. Photos aren't allowed. The Museum is well worth a visit and is housed in the cellar of the Franciscan Monastery.

This small but interesting museum contains shells all arround the world. Sizes and colours of shells represents beauty under the seas and we were surprised to find this rich colection. Beautiful

The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is the working hours, it's open only few hours a day. But it holds a true treasure of the seas, beautiful shells and the ambiance is great as it's located in an old monastery.
