In the central part of Croatian Adriatic, near where the Sibenik and Zadar islands meet, is a distinctive and, in many ways, special group of islands called Kornati. Due to their magnificent landscape beauty, interesting geomorphology, the great indentation of the coastline and wealth of living marine ecosystems, the majority of the sea area of the Kornati archipelago was proclaimed a national park in 1980. It includes a total of 89 islands, islets and crags, with approx. 238 km of coastline.

We travelled with 3 children aged 15,13 and 10 and thought that they would get bored on a whole day trip to the island's. So we booked a regular ferry from Sibenik to Sepurine. The journey takes one hour and stops twice. It allows to see some of the island's and spend the day on the beach or do a... More

The one day trip is not worth it. It's to long and you spend most of the day on a boat. If you can go snorkeling or diving choose that, because a trip around the islands takes around 8 hours, and in is time you swim just for about 2 hours.

I advise all tourists to avoid taling the 8 hour boat trips to see Kornati national park. I am not saying it's not beautiful, it's just that 8 hours on a boat are not worth it. The stops are short and crowded, you don't have a chance to really enjoy the scenery. If you're not a rock lover you will... More

Kornati islanda are stunning !! However if you are going on a private boat planing to spend the night in one of the Marinas watch out for a mega rip off ! When you pay mooring fees the entrance into National Park is included however we were stopped by an official rib asked to pay the most expensive rate for... More

Back again to the Kornati. The clear sea, amazing light and contrasting scenery together with limited fetch mean that sailing, even when it is seriously windy, remains fun. On each visit we find a different route through the islands and new places to anchor and swim. We will be back to explore again soon.

We have spend a weeksailing through the islands. We started from Sukosan and sailed down to the Kornati national park. We visited several bays and most of the are very beautifull and wild. Great trip, beside the popular places where cruise boats get as well, then it gets crazy crowded, so mind those places.

We sailed through and stopped overnight. Beautiful with lots of anchoring options. We saw dolphins on two occasions. Make sure you buy tickets in advance as it's more expensive on site (we got checked but had bought our pass)

We took a day trip from BioGrad. Stunning. The scenery is remarkable, the sea crystal clear with lots of fish. Stopping off, a swim in the Salt Lake is essential - it's warm and a tad more buoyant than the open sea. Food on board one of the friendly day trip boats is good, fish and meat with a decent... The archipelago is fabulous for sailing. Hundreds of small uninhabited islands and thousands of hidden bays to stop for a swim. The scenery is out of this world. Unforgettable
