Main square overlooking the Cathedral is busy with tourists from the cruise ships. Nice backdrop to Square. Not much to see in Hvar but The Cathedral and the Fortress worth visiting.

Came here with cruise. Wouldn’t choose to come here there is a main square with few shops on and markets. Not much to see but looks nice only spent 1-2 hours here then got back on boat. Without the market stalls there’s nothing to see...More

This building bookends one side of the square in Hvar town and is always busy - try to avoid going in when the tour groups are in there as it is a lot more peaceful

This church should not be missed. The altars are lovely with beautiful paintings. It is only open for limited times during the day and evening.

Unfortunately we got here just before 11am when the church was going to be closed for an hour for a service. So we just poked our noses in and thought nice church!

This is a beautiful Cathedral in the main square of Hvar. It forms the focal backdrop to Hvar & is very visible as you walk around. Although we did not have time to visit inside it was beautiful to look at from the outside.

The value of this Cathedral for each traveler will depend on what type of art you appreciate - renaissance and rococo lovers might want to skip it. For me personally, this is not a majestic building but it is certainly charming enough to be worth...More

Hvar is gorgeous as it is and then you step into their cathedral and you end up wishing that you could live on this island.

Hi! I am pretty sure every Sunday mass of the Catholic church should be delivered at noon. Morning masses could probably be available at 10 a.m. Kind regards from Split. I wish you a pleasant stay in Croatia :)
