Interesting exhibit of this local artist who did well. They have an excellent website that you can use as an audioguide with your phone and their free WiFi. There are many in- depth explanations and information there. Well worth a visit.

Once we found this house among the narrow streets and steps (we didn't mind looking as the old streets were quite charming if a little steep in places), it was a lovely surprise. It is large enough to be interesting but small enough to remain...More

I really enjoyed my visit to this engrossing collection of art. I suggest you read the notes pinned on the walls as well as the brief painting titles. They give insight into the work of a great artist. I liked the way Vlaho Bukovac had...More

This was a delightful treat in so many respects. The old house of Bukovac as well as being his studio on the second floor. Allow yourself a good hour to really appreciate the richness and to be absorbed by the ambiance of the artist's original...More

The life and work of the artist presented in his old home and atelier are like a rare gem. The variety of the paintings and fainted murals tell of an unusual talent. Absolutely worthwhile to see.

Tucked away in one of the many narrow, steep lanes this is a fascinating house in which Bukovac lived. Still undergoing restoration the walls show the paintings with which he decorated them. The gallery at the top of the house is filled with his paintings...More

Really interesting to someone who has a passing interest in art. Worth the entry fee and takes about an hour. Do you think the artist's style varies massively?

A surprise in a little village. The house is a short climb from the harbour. An insight into the life of someone who had a passion for art.

Bukovac was a 19th century impressionist painter and one of Croatia's best. His house is well worth visiting and there is a good collection of his paintings.

Hi Albert - there are a couple of restaurants serving Asian food as part of their menu, Kamen Mali and Konoba Toranj, but we didn't see any Chinese restaurants. Dubrovnik might be a better option - 30 mins on bus from... More
Hi, Will someone give me some nearby landmarks to this museum. Google maps isn't able to locate it. We will either take the bus or boat from Dubrovnik. Thank you so much! Yvonne

Same advice as previous person. The street is between the rows of shops to the left side of the town street from the harbour. If you see the main town square (probably with stalls on it) then go to the righ of this and you... More
