The beach after the Monastery (seen in pic) is a stony beach, crystal clear water and often not busy. The monastery itself is quite imposing and partially converted to a hotel nowadays.

This monastery is to the left of Bol town .We had hired a scooter and enjoyed our visit. We were greeted by a friendly lady who gave us a brief introduction to the museum and monastery and even offered to take our photo. There were interesting exhibits in the museum ( including g 14/16th century paintings , old coins , old mass books, pots etc). the monastery itself was also lavishly decorated.Unfortunately the gardens were closed.Entrance fee 30 kuna. there is also a nice beach bar and beach to the left of the monestery so a good option for a stroll from Bol town or bike/ scooter ride.

It makes for a nice walk before dinner to burn up some calories. Otherwise it is nice to see. The walk from the port over has a couple of seedy streets, so after dark might not be a good idea. The port town seems very safe.

When we were there, the place was closed. There is a small church and commentary located on small peninsula surrounded by usual gravel covered beaches on both sides. By the monastery there is a parking lot.

We decide to stay away from Zlatni Rat for the day and headed the other direction from town. Very short walk to this gem that was very quiet and a nice break from the crowd on the other side of town

Website doesn’t have this information as far as I could see so I thought it helpful to add.

I made a point of getting there in time for 8am Mass which was lovely, in Croatian and lasted 15 minutes. In this time I enjoyed a local Mass plus admired the Tintoretto which is illuminated during Mass. I am Catholic and so was able to follow this Mass even if in a new language. After the service the rest of the Monastery seemed open so I took a quick peek and since the garden was open I strolled through, all the way to the seafront - what a spectacular setting. Father was very kind and polite and didn't seem to mind when he asked who else was out there and I said "nobody apart from the gardener ".... he was locking up by then so you must be quick.
It was altogether a memorable experience.

Dominican Monastery is located in a beautiful position with views and has a bell tower. This still active church was founded in 1475 and was influential in the region. The alter has a Mother of God with Saints from the workshop of Jacob Tintoretto.

We called into here on the way to Martinica bay and the monastery bells where clanging. The chapel was open so we took a quick look to find a service in progress. We where quite respectful and retreated. The chapel is lovely inside typical Croatian/Greek. There is an old Croatian graveyard nearby with stone carved skulls on the walls, a quick look in gives you an insight into how old the village is.
