The park is pretty, but it is also expensive and over crowded. Be prepared to follow a long line of people yelling, screaming, spitting and smoking (even though you are not supposed to smoke in the park) Not really worth the expense. Little English spoken...More

Overpriced and ruined by the earthquakes. You are much better off going to Huanglong which is less stressful to go to and does not have the visitor limit. It is crucial to book months in advance if you want to visit Jiuzhaigou. It can be...More

I was there with an elderly Chinese friend. We went with a tour group (3 days) with other Chinese nationals. On our way to one of the toilet stops, the tour guide warned us of unscrupulous people peddling their wares. Unfortunately, my friend was gullible...More

The scenery is magnificent. Within the park are well ordered trails most of an easy to medium level (although some have steep climbs). The park contains a number of Tibetan villages and, at the entrance, the Tibetan market which have classic backpacker style bars and...More

Hi, the park is closed now. I was planning to visit from 11/12 to 11/15 and was about to book a hotel and called the hotel. The hotel personnel told me the park is closed and may not be open until December 2018.
