I have been here many times when I was teaching in nearby Qufu. It is an authentic combination of Taoist and Confucian ideals. It is a great beginning to a trip to the top of the adjacent Mt.Taishan.

Went there (on accident) during an international photography day. Lot of people, lot of different tables with cultural goods. Also Also a show was performed. Otherwise it's a temple, but during that day it was a real treat.

The temple was empty and even the staff were missing. The rooms were used as temples with the people selling insents to put inside. It was more of a muddy Palace all about money than actually a beautiful palace of the ancients.

The DaiMiao or Dai Temple is a good introduction of the city of Tai'An and a good welcoming of the Tai Mountain. It is a must to visit and it is on the way to the famous mountain so it is quite convenient.
