This was a quick stop for us to stretch our legs on our way from Memphis to SC. We did a tour of the museum and a elevator trip to the top of the vulcan..what a beautiful view. Definitely a must stop for visitors.

Enjoyed the museum and the replica of the foot and leg. Liked looking at all of the old photos. We appreciate the fact that the original design was not recreated since no one knew how it looked exactly.

Answers the history of "Why Birmingham and why here. A fair and honest treatment of the troubled racial past. Of interest to geologists.

I was expected a larger statue. It is pretty cool to see though, the statue itself is up on a tower that you can take an elevator up through and walk around at the top. Free parking and easy to get to.

Drive up to park parking is easy. The park has a small museum which is both informative and interesting. The statue tower has both stairs and an elevator.

Really pretty park with nice views, but very hilly; unless you're in good shape you won't enjoy walking in the park. The statue of Vulcan is interesting from a distance but not especially attractive.

As a new resident, I decided to visit the Vulcan in order to learn more about Birmingham. It's a quick trip with an awesome view of the city. Cheap too!

Would this be a good spot to stop for a picnic during a road trip? We only want to spend an hour and a half or so eating, stretching our legs, and exploring something new.

The paths in this park are very steep and not too long. You,d be better off riding somewhere else. There were several cars in the parking lot with bike racks attached. The bikes were in the racks, none were in use,
