The theatre was beautiful, there is not a bad seat in the house. The acoustics were great for our concert. Loved it! Just wish our hotel had been as nice!

The interior is opulent. Truly remarkable and one of the most beautiful theatres in the country. The only draw back is that the concessions can get backed up with long lengthy lines. Also some of the sight lines of the stage can be difficult on the tier because of the slope of the seats. I'd recommend getting a seat on... More

I have seen many live shows (my favorite) as well as old movies but my favorite is Phantom of the Opera in black & White!

My Iphone was stolen from this facility as I was changing my daughters costume to perform. If you stay here DO NOT leave any valuable in the dressing room. If you are in the room concile your things

Went to the downtown Alabama Theater with Southeastern Elementary. Theater looks amazing, one of the cleanest theaters Ive ever been in. Everyone working there was friendly and a great atmosphere. Actors were terrific!! I would suggest coming to the Alabama Theater it is defenitly worth it.

We drove about 5 hours to see Brian Regan perform at the theater. I had seen pictures online of this historic theater, but, you must see this gem in person. It is spectacular. The craftsmanship is second to none, I've never seen anything like this in the United States, I'm sure they exist, but, this theater will take your breath... More

Came to see Gabriel Iglesias. A lovely theatre, great view even on the mezzanine. I think any show here would be great.

The theatre plays classic Christmas movies in December. This is a great old theatre and still has a very classic feel. Its not open very much for movies throughout the year though. Its mostly booked for events.

I have lived here in Birmingham for 40 years and always loved attending events at the Alabama Theater. Unfortunately I am now disabled with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD and cannot climb stairs well. I had so wanted to attend the recent Johnny Mathis Concert this past February, but was unable to go due to a very limited wheelchair space... More
