Nice place to visit if you have a lot of time in Jingdezhen, much smaller in comparison to GuYao the main Ancient Kiln site on the west side of town. This site (YuYao) has beautiful wood pagagoda that you can climb up with a great...More

I had high expectations for this museum, in part because some of the most exquisite porcelain ever made was produced on these grounds but also because, with a world class entrance fee of RMB95, I anticipated a world class museum. Instead what we found were...More

There are many opportunities to buy very high quality (high priced) porcelain items at the museum, and a great opportunity to see the potters still performing their craft, but the "ancient" kilns that are the centerpieces of this world heritage site were rebuilt in the...More

Interesting but not as good as the ceramic museum and expo. Some good examples of porcelain from the Qing and Ming Dynasties especially the iconic blue and white porcelain. Can see the same plus a lot more at the other museum.

As the China's "Porcelain Capital", Jingdezhen is the one of Four Great Towns in China. For me, the most attractive stuff is the ancient ceramics industry. And the spots to learn something about porcelain is Ceramic History and Culture Zone, Gaoling-Yaoli Scenic Area, Fuliang Ancient...More
