This museum is rather huge with many sections. One good way to appreciate the museum to look up on the broad development of Chinese dynasties (starting with Xia to Qing). That way you can plan the viewing of the many halls. The halls are pretty...More

As always, the Chinese like to make things as difficult and as inaccessible as they can. This wonderful museum is free to visit, but that's not nearly as simple as it sounds. Unless you know exactly what to do. The modern, beautifully designed building is...More

Given that Louyang can be very hot this is a great activity to not only escape the heat but get a taste of culture. There are a lot of pottery on display as well as stone carvings from the famous grotto.

A museum about the Tang Dynasty heritage of Luoyang featuring paintings, ceramics, artwork, and historical models. Museum is nicely designed, new and huge; but not yet filled with exhibits leaving lots of empty space. You can visit the whole site in an hour

We spent about an hour inside the museum. There are lots of exhibitions but the best pieces are located in a room called "special treasures" where you find the Tang Tri-color glazed potteries and other bronze-copper pieces.
