best from afar

you can get great views of moon hill from the local area. it's a beautiful sight from afar esp along "moon walk" when you can appreciate the different phases of the moon.

I think the whole view in yangshuo is breathtaking and this spot adds a nice different tone to the hills around

For a local/state landmark it comes across as a letdown. Better viewed from a distance rather than paying money to get up close to another rock arch that you are now not allowed to climb. Met a few sweaty foreigners similarly unimpressed.

I am not a climber but pushed on through and made it to the top. Not easy and slippery if the steps are wet...I fell twice. It was a 5-minute walk from our B&B so we had to do it and I was happy we did. The views were great and it was good exercise.

It is really nice to visit Moon Hill. You can combine this with a tour along Yulong River. Close to the Moon Hill you will find as well Banyan Tree (which I personally would not recommend - nothing spectacular). But Moon Hill is fantastic. Make sure you climb until the top. It is a nice 20 minutes walk upstairs but... More

This is a landmark of this region and for that alone it is a must see as you have come so far to be in this area. It is a quick stop if on the way to one of the other attractions or you can walk there and climb if your feeling fit :)

This is another major tourist attraction in the area so of course they charge you to get in. But a little tip - go up to the cafe & you get a clear view of the hill. To be honest there are much more beautiful hills around than this, get on a bike & head off around the countryside, it's... More

I was underwhelmed by this one. It's an arch way in a mountain. Nothing to write home about but fairly pretty

the view from the top is decent, but the climb is awkward. It's about 30 minutes up if you walk at a slow consistent pace. There's no view on the way up or down as you're walking through trees. The descent is a bit awkward as the steps have gotten worn down over time and are angled down the hill.... More

The view was okay when compared to Xianggong Mountain this is nowhere close. If you have enough time then you can visit this place. For the 30 minutes trek and effort you spend, this is not ṭhaṭ worth.
