Built in 1189 on a hill overlooking the river to respectfully commemorate a Tang dynasty philosopher and philanthropist (Han Yu) who was exiled from Xi'an to Chaozhou for eight months.

When we were visited this place, its full with beautiful blooming flower, the scenery was beautiful and the weather was not that hot in.the summer. Its a good.place to visit, to see the.guardian of ancient chaozhou's temple.
