It was worth the effort to visit this tomb, though it is not like those big and extravagant emperor tombs elsewhere in China. The wall paintings in the tomb depict people's daily life. It is said that over 1,400 such tombs which can be dated back at least 1,600 years ago were discovered in the area and many of those have not been excavated, only this tomb is open to visitors so far. The tomb is quite small and each time it can only accommodate a dozen people. To protect the wall paintings, visitors need to take turns to enter the tomb for a limited time as the tomb staff said a large group of people in the tomb may stimulate up the temperature! Photo shooting is strictly forbidden. The tomb museum displays an excavated coffin which has some paintings on it. If you like history and relics, this tomb visit is your cup of tea!

This is the only tomb in this burial ground of 3° century a.d. which is open for visitors
The visit is only for 7 persons at a time as this 3 chambers tomb is very small . It is really interesting especially for the thousands of painted tiles which line the walls .They depict scenes of the every day life of that time of the merchant who occupied this tomb .
Unfortunately pictures are forbidden and I have respected this rule !
