The statue is very nice, especially nice if you know anything about LaoTzu and the Tao te Ching. The Chinese word for 'know' zhidao actually translates to know the dao or know the way. Follow the way up the mountain and enjoy it. As other reviewers have mentioned grab some honey on the way out at a local stand :)... More

Wikipedia says Laozi was "an ancient Chinese philosopher and writer known as the reputed author of the Tao Te Ching and the founder of philosophical Taoism". His surname is actually "Lee". We think it's quite more than that. Do some paper work before your visiting you know you can find it in the paper written by the famous historian, Pro.... More

a little expensive. the statue is not so big as it seems, but it is really worth to go. we expend half of the day in the park and there is lot to climb, restaurants.

A little away from Quanzhou city. On the rock. Beautiful sculpture. For a remembrance a small piece must brought from the shop nearby.

This gigantic status of the great Chinese Philosopher, Lao Zi is located in the lush mountainside in the outskirts of Quanzhou City. I was here in the summer and the breeze was cool.
